About Jones
Jones is a Series A-funded healthcare startup on a mission to build a supportive community and provide the tools needed for quitters to reach their goals around nicotine. We’re a direct-to-consumer brand with a fast-growing social media presence and an innovative app to help quitters quit or cut back on vaping, smoking, and nicotine.
Our products sit at the intersection of consumer trends, digital behavioral health, pharmaceuticals, and reduced-risk nicotine products; this means they’re highly regulated with moving parts across multiple channels. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, pop-culture obsessed, and creative social media & events intern that can assist in our marketing strategy across social media channels for both our physical nicotine replacement therapy product and our mobile app.
Key Responsibilities
Internships at Jones typically consist of 2-3 overarching projects that include, but aren’t limited to the following responsibilities:
- Content Creation & Management – Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, etc.), ensuring consistency with our brand voice.
- Engagement & Community Building – Monitor trends, respond to comments and DMs, and find creative ways to join relevant conversations and grow our community.
- Video Production & On-Camera Presence – Produce and star in engaging video content, including memes, educational videos, and man-on-the-street interviews—creating 4-5 video pieces per week.
- Influencer & Campaign Support – Assist with influencer collaborations, from brief production to identifying and reaching out to potential creators.
- Event Support & Brand Representation – Help with event production, from planning to execution, including setup, takedown, sampling, and capturing behind-the-scenes content. Represent Jones at events and in social settings through brand engagement.
Who You Are
- Creative Storyteller & Social Media Native – Passionate about social media, storytelling, and building online communities. You bring fresh content ideas, understand brand voice, and instinctively know how to engage audiences with compelling narratives.
- Skilled Content Creator – From writing sharp captions to designing in Canva or Adobe Suite, to editing short-form videos, you have the skills to create engaging content across platforms. You’re comfortable on camera and confident in producing Reels, TikToks, and Stories that resonate.
- Trend-Spotter & Engaging Communicator – Deeply in tune with social trends, memes, and pop culture, you stay ahead of what’s next. You love sparking conversations—whether in the comments, DMs, or in person at events—and know how to keep an audience engaged.
- Organized & Adaptable Team Player – You juggle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-moving environment. You welcome feedback, collaborate well, and stay flexible to adjust as needed.
- Empathetic Brand Advocate – You understand that our audience is on an emotional journey and can connect with them authentically. You take initiative, represent Jones with enthusiasm, and thrive in social settings—whether online or at events.
