Manufacturing Technology Mutual Insurance Company is a workers’ compensation insurance carrier based in Novi, Michigan. Established in 1997, MTMIC is the 11th largest workers’ compensation insurance carrier in the state of Michigan.
This is an opportunity to learn the insurance industry and work with a company that provides real opportunities for growth. We are looking for a Project Intern to support our accounting team and help maintain our commitment to excellence.
Position Overview
The Project Intern II position will primarily support our accounting department by handling administrative tasks.
No prior insurance experience is required—candidates will receive comprehensive training on all job responsibilities. However, previous industry knowledge is a plus. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career with a company that values growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in person at our Novi, Michigan office to collaborate with the team and support clients effectively.
- Assist the Accounting Department with policy system documentation, pulling system reports, monthly billing, various finance tasks and State required report requests, as well as accounting tasks including audit and filing.
- Prepare and send certificates of insurance and other policy documents
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
- Interest in the insurance industry
- Experience in the insurance industry (preferred but not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
