This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, contributing to the community, and being part of a dedicated team.

As a Seasonal Parks Technician, you will support staff by performing a variety of manual tasks to maintain and enhance the City’s parks, green spaces, and facilities. This is a hands-on role that involves landscaping, maintenance, and other duties to ensure the City of Powell remains a beautiful and welcoming community.

Hours

• Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm with occasional weekend hours and availability to work special events.
• Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm (flexible on the weekday schedule worked)

Dates

• Flexible start and end dates, approximately May 2025 through August 2025.

Starting Salary

• $17.00/hour for Monday through Friday schedule.
• $18.00/hour for weekend schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Perform landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, watering, and clearing debris.
• Maintain athletic fields, ball diamonds, bike paths, and park facilities.
• Operate hand tools and light motorized vehicles for maintenance tasks.
• Pick up litter, empty trash, and maintain dog-waste stations in parks.
• Clean and stock restrooms in City parks and buildings.
• Provide support for community special events.
