Student Technology Assistant
- Provide support for all Faculty, Contract Professional, Staff, and Students who have technology issues within the School of Law.
- Responsible for supporting A/V classroom usage by Faculty, Student Groups, and outside programs within the School of Law.
- Troubleshoot technology related issues, both hardware and software.
Applicants should have a basic knowledge of Windows and macOS, MS Office, basic computer hardware, software installation, and troubleshooting. Previous help desk, ticketing system, and audio/visual equipment experience a plus.
Desired Soft Skills include: strong communication, excellent customer service, and time management.
The Law School help desk is open from 8am to 7pm Monday through Thursday and 8am to 4pm on Friday. This position does qualify for Federal Work Study.
Currently we are seeking to fill two positions for the Summer of 2025 and an additional two positions for the Fall of 2025. Applicants must be enrolled as a current University of Akron Student at the time of their start date.
All University of Akron student employees must meet the designated minimum standards as stated on the Student Employment Eligibility Chart. UA student employees must be 18 years or older at the time of their start date. Any approved remote work conducted by student employees MUST be performed within the state of Ohio.
