Overview of Intern’s Project We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic student ready to make a real impact by supporting our volunteer recruitment and retention efforts across the organization! This is your chance to contribute to a meaningful project where you'll help showcase the incredible volunteers we already have and brainstorm creative strategies to bring in new faces.
You'll play a key role in developing a comprehensive plan that ties together various parts of the organization, all while creating engaging posts for our social media that highlight our amazing volunteers. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media, community engagement, and strategic planning—all while making a difference in our mission!
Skills Intern Will Develop:

Crafting High-Impact Social Media Content: Learn how to create compelling social media posts that capture attention, drive engagement, and deliver impactful messages to a wide audience.

Strategic Timing & Visual Appeal: Develop an understanding of when to post for maximum reach, and discover how to create eye-catching content that resonates with followers, boosting visibility and engagement.

Mastering Brand Guidelines: Gain hands-on experience in following brand guidelines to ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all platforms, knowing when and how to align content with the brand’s identity.

- End-to-End Content Creation: Learn the full process of content creation—from gathering information and photos, to designing engaging posts, and ultimately publishing them across various platforms for maximum impact.
Mentor Bio: Nathan Gilbert, an Idaho native with 12 years of experience in the non-profit sector! Getting involved as a youth volunteering, he has focused on Volunteer Management for the past 5 years, serving as the Volunteer Services Manager currently at the Idaho Youth Ranch. Nathan thrives on connecting community needs with passionate individuals, with a focus on the “1”. A lifelong learner, jack of all trades, he loves, organizing, crafting, and exploring new cuisines with his wife and two daughters!
