Overview of Organization: At Idaho Youth Ranch, we unite for Idaho's youth by providing accessible programs and services that nurture hope, healing, and resilience.

Overview of Intern’s Project We're diving into an exciting project to update our "Key to Know" info for a super engaging, recorded presentation to onboard all our amazing volunteers! You’ll help bring together the most important info, craft a fun and informative script, and record a presentation that will inspire new volunteers. The goal? To make it easy, exciting, and motivating for them to jump into the organization and feel pumped about the impactful work they're about to do!

Skills Intern Will Develop:

Crafting Essential "Need-to-Know" Content: Learn how to research and compile key information, distilling it into concise and impactful summaries that highlight the most important takeaways for volunteers.
 

Designing Engaging Presentations with PowerPoint: Gain hands-on experience using PowerPoint to create visually appealing, engaging, and dynamic presentations that capture attention and effectively communicate information.

Scriptwriting for Maximum Impact: Develop your skills in writing clear, engaging scripts tailored to the needs of volunteers, ensuring the message is both informative and motivating.
 

Professional Presentation Recording: Gain experience in recording high-quality presentations that will be used across the organization, learning the technical and creative aspects of producing content for a wide audience.
 

Mentor Bio: Nathan Gilbert, an Idaho native with 12 years of experience in the non-profit sector! Getting involved as a youth volunteering, he has focused on Volunteer Management for the past 5 years, serving as the Volunteer Services Manager currently at the Idaho Youth Ranch. Nathan thrives on connecting community needs with passionate individuals, with a focus on the “1”. A lifelong learner, jack of all trades, he loves, organizing, crafting, and exploring new cuisines with his wife and two daughters!
