Refreshment Deckhand

Location: Vista Fleet
Seasonal Position: May – October (Full-Time & Part-Time)
Starting Wage: $15/hour + incentives

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve with Excellence – Oversee daily concessions and bar operations, including stocking, food prep, bartending, and maintaining food safety standards.
     
  • Deliver Outstanding Guest Service – Greet passengers, answer questions, and ensure a friendly, enjoyable atmosphere on board.
     
  • Manage Transactions – Handle cash and operate registers with accuracy and professionalism.
     
  • Maintain Vessel Cleanliness – Keep all amenities, food stations, and common areas clean, stocked, and ship-shape.
     
  • Ensure Safety & Security – Follow Coast Guard regulations, assist in emergency situations, and handle ship lines when docking.
     
  • Engage with Passengers – Learn basic narration points and key tour highlights to enhance guests’ experience.
     

What We’re Looking For:

  • Energetic and service-oriented personality with great communication skills.
     
  • Experience in bartending, concessions, or food service is a plus.
     
  • Knowledge of cash registers and cash handling.
     
  • Physically capable – Able to stand/walk for 8+ hours, lift up to 30 lbs, and navigate stairs and tight spaces.
     
  • Comfortable working on a boat and assisting with docking procedures.
     
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to random drug testing per Coast Guard regulations.
     
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
