Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Intern

About Us:
Resonetics is a leader in micro-manufacturing for life sciences, specializing in precision laser processing and advanced automation. We are committed to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, and we are seeking a motivated EH&S Intern to support our Environmental Health & Safety programs.  This internship runs from approximately from May/June - August of 2025.  

 

Position Overview:
This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to EH&S initiatives, with a primary focus on reviewing and updating Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, conducting machine guarding assessments, and assisting with compliance-related activities. Additional responsibilities include safety audits, regulatory documentation updates, and process improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with EH&S professionals to update and verify Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct machine guarding assessments and recommend improvements to enhance workplace safety.
  • Assist in safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reporting.
  • Support the development of safety training materials and job aids.
  • Maintain detailed records and assist in ensuring adherence to OSHA and company safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree/diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety principles is a plus.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools for equipment assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply principles of:
    • Risk assessment & hazard identification
    • Mechanical and electrical safety
    • Regulatory compliance and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Compensation:

The compensation for this role is competitive and will be based on experience and qualifications. The anticipated compensation is $20.00 per hour.
