About LeaderTreks: LeaderTreks is a student leadership development ministry using missions trips to help students grow as Christan leaders. To develop students as leaders, we put them in the classroom of missions trips and give them real leadership opportunities by letting them make decisions and live with the consequences of those decisions. Our mission is to serve youth workers and help raise up the next generation of church and world leaders.

Join our team of missions interns and experience the best summer you've ever had! With us, you'll travel the US, run missions trips, gain new friends who love Jesus like you do, and serve the Lord in a unique way!
But the Impact Internship at LeaderTreks is more than an internship; it’s an opportunity to do meaningful work in an environment that will challenge, train, and grow you. We will help you grow in your understanding of yourself, your relationship with Jesus, and your leadership. You will also be an integral part of our ministry; we’re counting on you to change students’ lives. For 9 weeks of the summer, Impact Team members join LeaderTreks Youth Ministry Trip Leaders in developing middle and high school students as disciples and leaders on missions trips.

Job Responsibilities: Impact Team members will:
- participate in a staff training trip over Memorial Day Weekend
- build meaningful relationships with students
- foster an environment of challenge
- use teachable moments to instruct students in applicable leadership principles
- model for students what it looks like to daily follow Jesus
- assist their trip leader with trip logistics, such as the purchase of food or work project management
- commit to daily evaluation and personal goal setting
- celebrate and debrief together with the rest of the LeaderTreks staff team on an end-of-summer retreat
Location: Our office is located outside of Chicago in West Chicago, IL. Trips and mission trips take place across the United States and Costa Rica.
