Pay Rate: $20.00
Hours: 24 hours per week – flexible work schedule
Intern Position Summary
The City of Rockville, Maryland’s Human Resources Department is seeking an intern to join our team. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in researching and designing programs and initiatives that drive employee growth, employee engagement, and leadership development.
Project:
- Conduct research on best practices in supervisor and management development and learning.
- Develop recommendations for initiatives and programs focusing on the development of aspiring and practicing supervisors and managers.
- Assist in the design programs, workshops, and other initiatives focusing on aspiring and practicing supervisors and managers.
- Conduct research on best practices in new employee onboarding.
- Assist in the redesign of a new employee onboarding program.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources or closely related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide insights
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving
