Civil Engineering Internship
Energy Land & Infrastructure (ELI) is seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer of 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to access hands-on experience working on projects that impact our communities in a collaborative environment. The Engineering Intern will assist and support the Project Managers and engineering teams with multiple design projects.
In general, these responsibilities may include, but not limited to the following:
- Assist with natural gas pipeline design projects through the usage of various types of CAD design software, industry and client related design standards and guidelines.
- General pipeline route planning support, including data collection, research, documentation and cost estimating.
- Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Learn basic principles of Civil Engineering.
- Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
- Support preparation of required permit applications associated with projects.
- Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
- Learn responsible and ethical decision-making skills regarding company funds, resources and conduct.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Education/Experience Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook
- AutoCAD: 1+ year (Preferred but not required)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering degree program
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- May-August 2025
- 30+ hours per week
