Job Description
The Sports Broadcaster will serve as play-by-play and/or color commentator at athletic sporting events, specifically women's soccer, volleyball, gymnastics, track & field, and softball. More details will be provided as to the times, days, and locations during the interview process. This is your chance to become part of the rich tradition within Utah State Athletics while gaining a professional skill set.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must be willing to work non-traditional hours which could include weekends, some Sunday's (depending on the game/event), and possible holidays.
Candidates must be:
- Well spoken
- Adaptable in a non-stop, ever changing environment
- Knowledgeable of the sports they are broadcasting
- Committed to assigned events which includes time preparing for the event
- Observant and aware during events
Mission Statement
The mission of the Utah State University Athletics Video department is to provide quality live productions in the most efficient and effective manner. The video department will also continue to ensure the safety of student athletes and staff by complying with the rules and regulations set by the NCAA, the Mountain West Conference, and Utah State University.
