Vidor Methodist Church (a Global Methodist Church) is now hiring for a Youth Summer Intern. The Intern will help lead the Youth Ministry and will lead students to become deeply devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This is a part-time, seasonal position from June 1 through July 27, working up to 20 hours per week.
The Youth Summer Intern must thrive in a fast-paced, highly relational, creative environment with tight deadlines and busy schedules.
As with all VMC positions, this person is expected to embody the mission of VMC – “experiencing and sharing the love of Christ with a hurting world to make disciples and develop servants for the Kingdom of God”. They are also expected to demonstrate the values of Christ-like character.
This position will report directly to our Pastor.
Job responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Help plan, promote, and lead all youth activities on Sunday.
- Help plan, promote, and lead youth activities during the week.
- Have direct involvement and leadership in our Vacation Bible School in July.
- Work closely with our administrative and volunteer teams in the areas of newsletter, social media, communication, and financial administration
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Must have completed freshman year of college
- Pass a background check and successfully complete the Safe Sanctuary course prior to beginning work.
- Have reliable transportation and secure own housing.

Compensation: $16.00 per hours paid weekly as a 1099 subcontractor
