TikTok Creative Strategist (Mental Health Awareness)

⚠️ WARNING! DO NOT ENTER UNLESS… ⚠️

This is NOT your typical corporate “social media intern” sort of job. If you're looking for glorified post scheduling using pre-made canva templates, move on. We need a CREATIVE CONTENT STRATEGIST who understands virality, can develop compelling short-form video concepts, and CARES about our mission (mental health for the most vulnerable populations).

Here's why this might be the perfect first role for your career:

  • You'll use your creative talents to de-stigmatize mental health conditions and educate millions
  • You'll master growth hacking and viral marketing skills that will make you incredibly valuable for your next career move (AI is not replacing video content any time soon).
  • You'll skip the corporate ladder and learn directly from founders about building a business from the ground up

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  1. You'll be the creative mind BEHIND our social media growth strategy - developing scripts and concepts for TikTok/IG that make OCD awareness engaging and accessible.
  2. Editing: While we're hiring you for your brain & not color-grading skills, you'll still be doing basic editing (think CapCut / TikTok level of editing).
  3. This is a part-time role (15-20/hrs week).

SKILLS

  1. YOU UNDERSTAND VIRALITY 🔥: You've studied what makes content go viral. Huge bonus points if you've had your own TikToks/Reels go viral.
  2. YOU'RE A CREATIVE AT HEART 💡: You can identify trending formats and adapt them to communicate important mental health messages. You think in hooks, patterns, and narratives - not just video transitions.
  3. YOU HAVE AN EYE FOR DETAIL 🔍: You notice when messaging misses the mark or could be triggering. Your sensitivity ensures our mental health content remains responsible, accurate, and effective.
  4. YOU CARE ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH 💙: You're motivated by the opportunity to normalize mental health discussions and help those suffering in silence. This isn't just a job – it's a chance to make a HUGE difference for 160m+ OCD sufferers who can't get the help they need.
  5. YOU LEARN QUICKLY 🚀: Social trends change quickly, AND you're working at a very early start-up. You'll fail a lot, but gain years of worth of experience in the process in months' time.

WHO YOU ARE

  • This role is ideal if you've studied communications, psychology, marketing, digital media, film or any creative field.
  • You've just graduated (sorry, no interns!)

HOW TO APPLY

Submit your resume & cover letter via Handshake. In your cover letter, make sure to include:

  1. Share why mental health/OCD awareness matters to you, what makes you uniquely qualified, and include links to any relevant content you've created or edited.
  2. Answer this application question (attach a separate page to cover letter):
    1. Go look through some of the viral TikTok content about OCD specifically (this is our niche). Reverse engineer how you'd make content around OCD go viral (hint: it's very niche, so getting mass appeal is NOT as easy as using a viral sound + dancing to it). In your explanation, cite (links) to specific videos that went viral.

OUR MISSION

There's 160m+ OCD sufferers who need treatment, but it's almost impossible to afford or even find an OCD therapist these days. We're building the future of OCD care through responsible AI to solve this crisis. Your content will help reduce stigma, educate the public, and connect people to life-changing support.

Sound meaningful? It is. Sound challenging? That too. Still excited? We want you.
