Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team. Please note that this position is not remote; it requires on-site work in our Thousand Oaks, California office.. As a Business Development Manager, you will possess a deep understanding of our products and implement business growth strategies to increase our sales and reach in the aviation industry. The ideal candidate has experience researching market trends, targeting relationships, and using proven methods to develop our business strategy while retaining industry partners. This position will require travel after six months on the job.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and identify potential clients
- Monitor sales pipeline in CRM database and implement strategies to increase conversion rate for leads
- Develop, implement, and monitor targeted business growth strategies
- Close new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts
- Follow industry news, publications and announcements to identify trends and opportunities to increase sales
- Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
- Oversee Business Development Team’s activities and evaluate in accordance with business objectives
- Provide training and mentorship to team members
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen (Due to Government Contract Requirements)
- Must be able to commute to ProDIGIQ's office in Thousand Oaks, as this position is on-site only
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
- Minimum 5 years experience in software sales and marketing
- Well versed in conducting phone calls to generate new business
- Strong professional and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and develop product knowledge
- Ability to effectively synthesize and communicate product features and benefits
- Must be reliable and flexible
- Ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
