SUNY Cortland is accepting applications for a full-time Human Resources Associate. This management confidential position supports several areas of HR including performance management, employee relations, appointment, position classification, salary administration, and HR analytics.

This position reports to the Compensation Manager, works closely and collaboratively with all HR and Payroll staff, and interacts with employees and supervisors across the campus.


Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, psychology, economics, or a closely related field and a minimum of 1 year of experience working in Human Resources, or bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Human Resources.


Preferred Qualifications: Employee relations experience; position classification and wage administration experience; experience gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data for reporting purposes; experience working in higher education; and experience working in a unionized environment.
