Internship in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, and Software

FarmAfield, an early-stage AgTech innovator based on Innovation Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska (near The Mill and Scarlet Hotel), is seeking ambitious interns in engineering, accounting, finance, business, and software. Our mission is to drive new investments in agriculture through software and finance solutions (learn more at FarmAfield.com).

As an intern, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our products and processes and develop investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, with a focus on solar and geothermal projects. This role demands creative problem-solvers eager to tackle open-ended challenges at the intersection of agriculture and renewable energy. Compensation ranges from $17–$22 per hour based on experience, with the option to allocate some hours toward internship course credits.

Responsibilities:

  • Curate and evaluate investment opportunities in livestock and rural energy projects.
  • Work closely with a small, agile team to address complex, multidisciplinary challenges.
  • Contribute fresh ideas to innovative software and engineering solutions in the ag industry

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in engineering, agriculture, business, or software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required).
  • Experience in a small business or startup environment (preferred).
  • Enthusiasm for agriculture, renewable energy, or AgTech advancements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting with ambiguity and uncertainty.
