Entry Level Accountant

What You Will Do:

Solar Turbines is seeking a new graduate Accountant to closely partner with business leaders. Responsibilities include supporting assessments, financial forecasting, and analyses for strategic initiatives related to current and future products and services. The role involves communicating recommendations and results to various audiences, including finance and market-facing executives. This position will provide essential support for Solar Turbines' growth and development of innovative, sustainable energy solutions for customers.

What You Will Have:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience desired.

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

Processes large quantities of detailed information accurately and efficiently.

Implements various cross-checking approaches and mechanisms.

Working Knowledge in Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Understanding of decision-making processes and associated tools and techniques; ability to analyze situations accurately and make informed judgments.

Identifies, obtains, and organizes relevant data and ideas, documenting processes.

Assists in assessing risks, benefits, and considering alternatives.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs accurately.

Adapts documents and presentations for the intended audience, maintaining focus on the topic.

Demonstrates empathy and assertiveness in communication.

Experience in Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports.

Experience in Financial Reporting: Knowledge of financial reporting processes, methods, and tools; ability to create and maintain accurate financial reports.

Top Candidates Will Have:

Experience in financial support of Sales, Business Development, Strategy, and/or Marketing functions.

Advanced MS Excel skills, including experience with database/analytical add-in tools such as Oracle/Hyperion Smart View.

Experience developing and presenting executive-level financial presentations using MS PowerPoint.

Experience in investment analysis and/or forecasting of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows for programs, product lines, or business units.
