This position is a non-telework position located in Pearblossom, California.

Permanent Intermittent employees are paid hourly and are limited to 1500 hours per calendar year.

Under direction of the Manager, Administration Branch, incumbent performs work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical administrative duties in support of O&M's Southern Field Division. The incumbent is expected to exercise independent judgment in making decisions and initiating action in accordance with departmental policies and guidelines. Analyze, review, and make recommendations on field division personnel transactions to management, perform a variety of recruitment activities, including participating on examination and hiring interview panels. Serve as liaison with Human Resources. Analyze the field division's human resource needs on a wide variety of human resource issues, review duty statements and recommend revisions, and prepare advance and final personnel actions, obtain management approvals, as appropriate, and route to HR for final approval. Accurately input information into the SAP Human Resources Module.

Special Requirements: 

Must have a valid California Class C license as incumbent will be required to operate automotive vehicles on public roadways, travel to remote areas within the field division is necessary to perform the requirements of this position.

All applicants for Student Assistant positions must meet the following departmental eligibility requirements:

1. Enrolled in nine (9) semester/eight (8) quarter units for undergraduate students or six (6) semester/four (4) quarter units for graduate students.  
2. Achieved a 2.0 grade point average in the most recently completed academic term. 

Declared a major related to the duties of the advertised position and enrolled in coursework required for that major
