Job Overview
Rivermont Collegiate is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time, Spanish Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for introducing young learners to the Spanish language in a dynamic and engaging way. This role involves creating a positive and supportive environment where students can develop basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish. The teacher will work with students in grades K-6 to foster a love for language learning and cultural exploration.
Duties
- Teach Spanish to Lowe school students (grades K-6) in a fun and age-appropriate manner.
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with the school's educational standards.
- Focus on basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Introduce students to Spanish-speaking cultures, customs, and traditions.
- Incorporate songs, games, stories, and other interactive activities to promote language acquisition.
- Encourage students to use Spanish in practical, real-world situations and classroom interactions.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful classroom.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree n Education, Spanish, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Spanish to young children, especially in a classroom setting.
- Strong proficiency in Spanish (both written and oral).
- Knowledge of language acquisition methods for young learners.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
