Job Overview
Rivermont Collegiate is seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time, Spanish Teacher to join our educational team for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for introducing young learners to the Spanish language in a dynamic and engaging way. This role involves creating a positive and supportive environment where students can develop basic speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish. The teacher will work with students in grades K-6 to foster a love for language learning and cultural exploration.

Duties

  • Teach Spanish to Lowe school students (grades K-6) in a fun and age-appropriate manner.
  • Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with the school's educational standards.
  • Focus on basic language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Introduce students to Spanish-speaking cultures, customs, and traditions.
  • Incorporate songs, games, stories, and other interactive activities to promote language acquisition.
  • Encourage students to use Spanish in practical, real-world situations and classroom interactions.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful classroom.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree n Education, Spanish, or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Spanish to young children, especially in a classroom setting.
  • Strong proficiency in Spanish (both written and oral).
  • Knowledge of language acquisition methods for young learners.
  • Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
