Domestic Violence Program Specialist

Provide program and contract management of both federal and state funded community-based domestic violence programs. Manage, analyze and evaluate complex domestic violence services to ensure quality outcomes by statewide community-based domestic violence contract agencies. Manage the implementation of the Domestic Violence Offender Treatment and Intervention Rule (8.8. 7 NMAC) for programs receiving court-ordered referrals. Provide technical assistance and support to assure compliance with State and federal Guidelines. Represent the Department as a consultant to community based domestic violence agencies, State agencies, and community partners to increase safety and hope for survivors of domestic violence and their dependents.

Contract Management- Help develop scopes of work and vendor budgets, process invoices, perform site visits, write site visit reports, and support services providers to correct any issues or concerns and improve services according to established best practices. (50%)

Service Quality support and Monitoring- Support vendor agencies to achieve excellent results through technical assistance, helping to gather and analyze performance measure and outcome data, participating in performance measure and outcome reviews, and responding to and managing complaints and grievances from vendor clients and employees. (25%)

Community Coordination- Coordinate and facilitate meetings between service providers, state agencies, and other community organizations to deliver coordinated services to domestic violence survivors and hold perpetrators accountable. (10%)

Strategic Planning, Development, and Implementation of Policy- Participate in work groups and strategic planning efforts as directed to provide critical expertise from interactions with programs and assisting with community interactions. Help develop best practices and support materials for programs. (5%)
