Student Video Editor and Administrative Assistant

The OIT ESMS Development team is looking for a Student Video Editor and Administrative Assistant to be responsible for general administrative duties in addition to editing software project meeting recordings to redact sensitive information. The Student Video Editor and Administrative Assistant will interact with the Assistant Divisional Director, Project Team Lead, and other team members. The Student Video Editor and Administrative Assistant should be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and have an interest in video editing.
The Enterprise Student Management Systems (ESMS) Unit within the UCI Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides support for the systems and applications used by six large, complex, and mission-critical business units: Financial Aid and Scholarships, Financial Services, Graduate Division, Office of the Registrar, Summer Session, and Undergraduate Admissions. The support provided includes daily operational support and monitoring, incident management and troubleshooting, new development, maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements to a diverse group of complex in-house developed applications. Real-time and batch system integrations, data extracts and reports, and support for third-party software products and their integration with other systems are also included.
Student Developer and Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
Under close supervision, the employee performs the following responsibilities:
- Video editing
- Interacting with team members to understand various task requirements
- Performing general clerical and administrative tasks
Skills and Qualifications
Required
- Available to work 19.5 hours per week during Spring 2025 and Summer 2025
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Good organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset
- General computer skills (i.e., word processing, spreadsheets, web browsing, email, etc.)
Preferred
- Working knowledge of the following software/tools:
- Video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, ClipChamp)
If training is required, it will be provided via online tutorials and mentorship from team members.
