Human Resources Intern
Position: HR Intern
Reports to: HR Manager
Job Summary: The Human Resources Intern provides administrative support to the HR department.
Essential Functions:
- Onboard new hires and assist with recruitment
- Assist with job fairs and posting job ads
- Coordinate new hire orientations
- Issue and process new hire paperwork, including E-Verify, company forms, I-9, W-4 & other required forms
- Assist employees with daily questions as the first point of contact for the department
- Assist with terminations in HRIS system and send termination letters
- Maintains physical postings in designated areas current employment law posters, lists of internal job postings, benefits changes, and any other HR-related updates
- Responsible for creating various weekly and monthly reports regarding hours worked, headcounts, etc
- Assist with Employee of the Month and Manager of the Quarter programs
- Miscellaneous administrative duties
- Any other task as directed by HR Manager
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a Human Resources related role, or studying toward a degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- Working knowledge of US labor laws
- Familiarity with HRIS software, especially ADP Workforce Now, is advantageous
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle confidential information pertaining to company, its entities and employees
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Stay up to date with employee labor laws posters and changes
