PEIF Student Building Manager
Summer and/or Fall 2025
Pay: $13.75 (Academic Year) $14.25 (Summer)
Position Description: Assist in managing the operations, staffing, and programming of Rec Sports activities and facilities. The SBM supports the overall operation of the PEIF, including staff supervision, task delegation, policy enforcement, customer service, problem-solving, money management, and emergency response. This position requires flexibility with early morning, late evening, and weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months of experience with staff management
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate needs and work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of recreation management software (desired but not required)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to enforce policies/procedures
- Experience with financial transactions or cash handling
- CPR/First Aid/AED certification
- Lifeguard certification (desired but not required)
- Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
Essential Areas of Responsibility
- Assist in the management of Rec Sports student staff and patrons utilizing the PEIF facility
- Respond to emergency situations and fill out appropriate reports and forms
- Assist with building cleanliness and equipment repair reporting
- Actively enforce policies and procedures pertaining to patrons and staff
- Assist with staff on-boarding, weekly communication and student staff semester evaluations
