Quality Engineer

Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Objective: Quality inspection of wire and cable harnesses.

Reports To: Quality Manager

Job Duties:

 Test and inspect all manufactured goods.

 Perform first piece approval inspections and complete documentation.

 Perform in-process inspections on manufactured goods.

 Write work Instructions and Inspection Procedures as needed.

 Prioritize parts inspected based on customer demands and Production Schedule.

 Deliver parts to the shipping department once the quality inspection is completed.

 Follow all standard safety practices, written and implied.

 Adhere to manufacturing processes based on Standard Operating Procedures and IPC-620.

 Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Skills: 

 Knowledge of measuring equipment (Digital multimeter, RF Test Equipment).

 Interpret and respond to documentation relating to the manufacturing process.

 Read and interpret blueprint and schematic drawings.

 Read measuring devices, including rulers and micrometers, both imperial and metric.

 Communicate well and work with others.

 Computer skills – Microsoft Excel and Word.

 Familiarity with IPC-620.
