Lab Technician and Process Development Intern
AthenaES manufactures a range of cell and bacteriological cell culture media products. The Lab Technician and Process Development Intern primarily assists with the end-to-end manufacturing and logistical support processes for liquid and dry powder products that are customized to meet the specific needs of research labs. The Laboratory Assistant Intern also supports all facets of general laboratory upkeep and maintenance.
The secondary role of the Lab Technician and Process Development Intern is to conduct process evaluation and provide feedback for Athena’s new digital standard operating procedure (SOP) system.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Processing liquid media and buffer preparations, weighing chemicals, formulation, adjusting and recording pH, recording media conductivity, performing sterile fills in a bio-safety level 2 cabinet, labeling bottles, and conducting quality control testing for product release.
Inspecting, final packaging, and storing incoming finished products from contract manufacturers.
Packaging products with cryopacks, dry ice, or ambient boxes and processing shipping documents.
Performing general lab upkeep, including cleaning glassware, autoclaving lab-ware, and following standard facility cleaning protocols.
