Social Media Intern

Social Media Intern

We’re seeking a part-time Social Media Intern to enhance and lead our social media presence. This role involves creating engaging content, collaborating across departments, proposing innovative ideas, and managing followers. Candidates should have experience in copywriting and video content creation, along with strong collaboration skills. This role is hybrid, involving 1-2 days per week with the campaign (in the Upper East Side) to film content and collaborate in-person.

Key Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Coordinates, creates, and posts social media content for campaign's channels including Instagram and TikTok.
  • Work closely with policy, events, and field directors to align posts with campaign messaging.
  • Maintaining the campaign’s social media presence by responding to comments and messages and following highly engaged accounts.
  • Analyzing social media metrics to evaluate the performance of social media campaigns and adjust the strategy accordingly.
  • Researching comparable accounts to learn from trends and practices specific to political social accounts.

Required:

  • Experience working on social media campaigns and platforms.
  • Ability to quickly synthesize and distill large quantities of complex policy and/or issue-related information.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
  • An eye for detail and accuracy when creating polished

 

Pay: $500/month (approx 7 hours of work per week)
