• Teacher certification or coursework toward certification preferred.

Job Description:

Villa Victoria Academy is a Catholic, private, college preparatory school for girls in grades 6-12 and is located in Ewing, New Jersey, Mercer County.  The environment is nurturing and respectful, and the class sizes are small, providing an optimal teaching and learning experience.

We are seeking an Art Teacher for students in grades 6-12.  

Teachers' duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Lesson planning, teaching, grading students. 

Teaching four or five 40-minute classes per day with class sizes of ten students on average. Some classes may have only one or two students..  The schedule includes two or three 40-minute prep periods, a morning break, and a 40-minute lunch.

Supervising a homeroom class for 20 minutes each morning and running  annual associated activities with colleague support.

Corresponding with parents regarding student progress.

Attending orientation days, monthly faculty meetings, school performances, and two open houses per year.

Leading a weekly art club.

Leading the yearbook club (photographing throughout the year, designing and creating the annual yearbook).
