Content Creator Intern

Title:  Content Creator Intern (Part-time)

Reports To: Social Media & Marketing Manager

FLSA Status: NONEXEMPT

Summary: We are seeking a creative, motivated, and passionate Content Creator Intern to join our team. In this role, you will assist with developing and curating engaging content for our social media platforms, newsletters, website, and other digital channels. You will play a vital role in helping us communicate our mission, amplify our programs, and connect with our audience through creative storytelling.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in marketing, digital media, and nonprofit communications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create and design content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn). 
  • Assist in writing and editing newsletters and other digital copy. 
  • Support the creation of multimedia content, including video editing, graphics, and photography for campaigns. 
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative content ideas that align with our mission and current campaigns. 
  • Research trends and best practices in social media and digital marketing to inform content creation. 
  • Help with proofreading and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms. 
  • Assist in tracking content performance and compiling reports on social media and digital engagement. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field. 
  • Prior experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing is preferred but not required.
  • Experience using social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, CapCut, or similar software).
  • Familiarity with video editing software is a plus.
  • Exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual (Spanish) proficiency is strongly preferred.
  • Travel and willingness to work flexible hours are required. 
  • Current driver's license, with clean driving record.
