
Booth Attendant
At its core, this role is about building relationships. In a market setting, customers are not just drawn to the product; they are also drawn by the sense of community they experience when buying local. As the face of CrunchCraft, you will embody our values and ensure every visitor leaves with a positive impression of the brand through your respect, knowledge, friendliness, and enthusiasm.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers, offering stellar service and sharing product details.
- Set up and break down the market booth, including transporting all equipment.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance, regardless of weather conditions.
- Dress appropriately and modestly for market days.
- Process sales with a mobile POS system.
- Maintain an accurate inventory count at the end of each day.
- Transport booth equipment and product between the market and a nearby storage location.
Requirements:
- Reliable transportation that can transport a 6-foot folding table, a collapsed 10' x 10' tent, five or more boxes of product, and a box of booth decor and POS supplies (Tent: 48" L x 10" W x 10" H; Table: 36" L x 30" W x 8.5" H).
- Strength to lift 50 pounds (the tent) in and out of your vehicle.
- A mobile device with a solid data connection for running our POS app.
- Passion for nutrition and a commitment to sticking with CrunchCraft long-term.
- Top-notch customer service skills.
Compensation & Schedule:
Starting pay: $10 per hour.
Shifts: Typically 4-5 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings, with potential for additional opportunities in the future, including weekday night markets and afternoon markets.
Interview Process
- Application: Submit your application, including a resume and cover letter answering the questions listed in the "How to Apply" section below.
- Phone Interview: Shortlisted candidates will participate in a brief phone interview as early as this week.
- Booth Attendant Interview/Audition:
- Candidates who pass the phone interview will receive a 1-page product info document to review.
- They will then be invited to a paid 2-hour interview/audition at one of our weekend markets to demonstrate customer interaction and product knowledge.
