Business Analyst Intern - Market Performance and Integration

Department description: 
The Market Performance and Integration Department ensures the accuracy and integrity of New England’s $11B wholesale electricity market settlements. The team provides business analysis, quality assurance, and reporting support to validate market outcomes, helping enhance the reliability, and transparency of the region’s energy markets.

What will you be working on:
The intern will help improve how market participants find and use critical information on our website. Our team manages a variety of documents—market reports, user guides, and report descriptions—and we need to ensure they are structured, presented, and accessible in the most effective way. In collaboration with business analysts, the intern will review these assets to assess how they can be better organized and presented.

How will you make an impact:
This internship provides a unique opportunity to develop skills in web content strategy, data organization, and critical thinking while gaining exposure to a dynamic $10B industry. Through independent research and collaboration with multiple departments, they will refine their ability to structure information effectively and make content more accessible.

What we look for in a candidate: 
•    MS Office; Analytical, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and interested in improving how information is structured and presented
•    A background in business, communications, or UX design is helpful but not required
•    An understanding of informational design principles
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

To be eligible for the internship candidate must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program. Candidates must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
