To support this growth, we are seeking an ambitious Project Manager with CAD expertise to play a key role in enhancing our project management capabilities. This is an opportunity to shape how we execute projects, improve efficiency, and take ownership of impactful initiatives.

This role is ideal for an early-career professional (3-7 years of experience) looking to advance into leadership. You don’t need to have “seen it all” yet. In this role, you will take ownership, improve processes, and grow into a senior leader.

 

Activities and duties           

The following activities and duties are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive:

Project Management (50%)

  • Lead engineering projects from kickoff to closeout, ensuring they meet quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
  • Define and maintain project scope, integration, risk, and stakeholder communication strategies.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, ensuring team alignment with expectations and customer requirements.
  • Manage the training of project team members, leveraging Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or Technical Leads.
  • Track and manage meeting action items, ensuring completion and accountability within the project team.
  • Oversee project documentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to NobleTek's project management standards.
  • Conduct post-project reviews, capturing lessons learned and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, providing regular status reports and updates in a consistent format.
  • Lead customer-facing meetings and presentations, clearly communicating project progress and action items.
  • Ensure all closing documents are delivered to the customer and collect customer feedback to inform future process improvements.
  • Promote open communication, creative thinking, and collaboration within the project team.

CAD Design & Technical Contributions (50%)

  • Apply hands-on CAD expertise using CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks to develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings.
  • Re-master legacy data into modern CAD models, ensuring accurate conversions and compliance with manufacturing requirements.
  • Design and optimize aerospace and manufacturing components, tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Assist with engineering change requests, ensuring smooth updates to project requirements and adherence to design standards.
  • Provide technical CAD support by responding to internal and customer inquiries regarding engineering services and design software.
  • Support the business development team by assisting in pre-sales efforts, including RFIs, RFQs, and developing statements of work (SOWs).
  • Collaborate with NC and CMM teams to ensure design intent aligns with manufacturing and inspection requirements.


 

 

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Project Management, or a related technical field. Candidates with equivalent work experience in project management and CAD design will also be considered.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of hands-on CAD design experience (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Proven ability to streamline project management processes and improve efficiency.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills—you can guide projects and keep teams aligned.
  • Ability to work on-site in Wooster, OH, for 3-6 months, then transition to hybrid (up to 3 remote days per week).
  • Due to the nature of our work involving ITAR and CUI-related projects, this position is only open to U.S. citizens.

 

Desirable Experience

  • PMP or CAPM certification (or willingness to get one).
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of NC Programming, CMM Programming, or manufacturing workflows.
  • Familiarity with Deltek Vision, ClickUp, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment and involves the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate on telephone and handle all calls in a professional and personable manner. 
  • Vision must be good enough to read keyboards, computer screen, reference books, reports and other written documents 
  • Ability to drive own or rental vehicle 
  • Non-smoking environment
