Position is responsible for assessing, developing, delivering, evaluating training, recording and tracking all mandated, elective and specialty training of all staff for the facility. Responsible for the supervision of assigned training staff. Contributes to administration of performance management system for staff. Conducts ongoing inspections to maintain, security, sanitation and good order of the institution. Interacts with management, staff, visitors, inmates and the public to maintain orderly and secure operations.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Considerable knowledge of corrective maintenance, installation, repair, and preventive maintenance related to plumbing/steam-fitting. Demonstrated skill in the use of tools and supplies related to the trade. Demonstrated ability to keep narrative and statistical records relating to the maintenance and repair of equipment.

Additional Considerations

Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise the work of others. Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Programs and Gmail or preventative maintenance programs. Completion from vocational/technical school, completion of apprenticeship and/or sufficient on-the-job training (OJT) in trade activities. Multiple trades’ experience.
