As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in driving the innovation, quality, and effectiveness of our product design processes. You will be responsible for analysis, design, improvement, and documentation of new and existing product design and updates.  Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, manufacturing engineering, and quality assurance, you will contribute to the successful design of high-quality Trystar products for customers. This position requires a willingness to learn, strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to optimize current designs and drive innovation.

In this role you will get to:

  • Demonstrate Trystar’s guiding principles and values. 
  • Work directly with a mentor while finding solutions to real world problems.
  • Work on projects that are related to your areas of interest and study with a high level of autonomy and ownership. These projects are designed to bring value to our business.
  • Assist electrical print generation and updates via ECO processes including one-line, three-line, system level, and schematics.
  • Work with mechanical design to optimize system design and manufacturability.
  • Deliver cost reduction and continuous improvement projects and collaborate with the cross-functional team to complete assigned projects on time.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive work instructions, procedures, and documentation for design and change processes. Standardize operations to ensure consistency, safety, and quality.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the production team during the manufacturing process. Resolve production issues, implement process changes, and ensure adherence to production schedules and targets.
  • Experience our products up close by working in our manufacturing facility in an on-site position at the Troy, MI facility.
  • Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the manufacturing environment. Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.

 

Job Requirements:
