Middle/High School Math Teacher – Clifton-Fine Central School District

The Clifton-Fine Central School District is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Middle/High School Math Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop strong mathematical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and a passion for learning. This educator will create engaging lessons that support students at all levels and prepare them for academic and real-world success.

Located on the western side of the Adirondacks and serving as the gateway to the Five Ponds Wilderness Area, Clifton-Fine Central School District is a small, close-knit school committed to providing students with a high-quality education in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Teach middle and high school mathematics courses, which may include Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, or other math electives.

Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lessons that align with New York State Learning Standards.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Utilize technology and real-world applications to enhance math instruction.

Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student success.

Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications:

New York State Certification in Mathematics (Grades 7-12) or eligibility for certification.

Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and effective instructional strategies.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Experience incorporating technology into math instruction is preferred.
