Sales Manager
Northwest Pipe Fittings, a locally owned, independent wholesale distributor, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team across a five-state region. We pride ourselves on our commitment to service, product expertise, and inventory, distributing a wide range of products including plumbing, hydronic heating, utility, waterworks, water well, irrigation, filtration, and metering technology products and systems. The Sales Manager will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Motivate and encourage the sales team to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
- Analyze sales and operational records to project sales, determine profitability, and identify new opportunities.
- Understand customer preferences to effectively direct sales efforts.
- Assign territories and set quotas for sales teams.
- Consult with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products or services.
- Resolve customer complaints and staffing issues to ensure efficient sales operations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop sales strategies and quotas.
- Work closely with all departments and store locations to ensure cohesive operations.
- Prepare and manage the sales budget, monitoring and approving expenses.
- Represent the company at trade association meetings.
- Hire, train, and evaluate sales staff, ensuring timely and constructive performance evaluations.
- Handle disciplinary actions and terminations in collaboration with HR and in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or similar role in a relevant industry.
- Strong understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- BS/BA in Sales or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
Compensation
Base Salary plus commission.
