School Psychologist

QUALIFICATIONS
1.   Appropriate Valid Illinois Certificate.
2.   Master's Degree or higher.

 

  1. Develops and implements a program for assessing students.
  2. Maintains records and reports of all testing and shares the results with staff.
  3. Assists principals and teachers in developing programs that effectively meet the
    mental needs of the students.
  4. Collaborates with other public and private schools to provide for the needs of
    District 152 students with exceptional needs.
  5. Collaborates with staff to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning.
  6. Provides consultation to family members of students when necessary.
  7. Assists with in-service training of school personnel in such areas as testing, mental
    health, and other areas of expertise.
  8. Shares information and develops plans for assisting/supporting students and
    families through the Multidisciplinary Staff Conferences/Individual Educational
    Plans/annual review processes.
  9. Works directly with students based on educational team recommendations to
    address specific needs.
