## Position Overview

We're seeking a creative and technically skilled Video Production and Social Media Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for both the technical production and post-production of our podcast series, including setting up recording environments, managing audio/video equipment, and transforming raw footage into engaging, professional content for distribution across various platforms. You'll also help establish and grow NexSys's social media presence to increase our visibility and thought leadership positioning in the AI and software development space.
## Key Responsibilities

### Podcast Production

- Set up and operate audio and video recording equipment for in-studio podcast sessions
- Configure and troubleshoot software for remote podcast recordings with guests
- Ensure optimal audio and video quality during recording sessions
- Manage the technical aspects of live streaming (if applicable)
- Maintain and organize recording equipment and software
- Provide basic direction to hosts and guests to ensure high-quality content capture

### Video/Audio Editing

- Edit full-length podcast episodes into polished, distribution-ready content
- Create shorter video clips and highlights for social media distribution
- Optimize content for different platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Organize and maintain our content library

### Social Media Management

- Help develop a cohesive social media strategy aligned with NexSys's brand values
- Create and schedule regular posts featuring our content
- Repurpose video/audio content into various formats for different channels
- Monitor engagement metrics and refine distribution strategies
- Research industry trends and recommend new content approaches
- Identify opportunities for thought leadership and community engagement

## Qualifications

### Required Skills

- Experience with podcast recording equipment and software
- Familiarity with remote recording solutions 
- Proficiency in video/audio editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
- Understanding of social media platforms and content optimization strategies
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for technical recording issues
- Excellent attention to detail in both production and post-production
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

### Preferred Qualifications

- Previous experience producing or editing podcasts or video series
- Familiarity with AI, software development, or related technical fields
- Experience managing social media accounts for organizations
- Knowledge of SEO best practices for audio/video content
- Experience with motion graphics or animation tools
- Portfolio of previous podcast/video projects
