React / Go / AWS - Summer developer Internships

This summer we are re-building our app using React (it is currently written using SwiftUI and is available on TestFlight). We will set up a new AWS cloud structure including (DynamoDB, S3, EC2, etc.) for the rebuild in a separate AWS account. We will be adding an additional feature to the existing app (will explain during the interview). We will be using AI to help us write the new code in React - especially, for the new feature.

We currently have our MVP on TestFlight where the frontend is coded using SwiftUI and the backend is Go lang. 

 

What we are looking for (don't need all of these)

  • Able to code using React
  • Comfortable using AI generated code
  • Able to code backend in Go lang
  • Able to setup structures in AWS

Qualifications

  • Must be able to start on our new feature project during Spring semester a couple of hours a week. The majority of the development will be done over the summer but need to get started on the framework during Spring. 
  • Must be comfortable with writing code using AI, such as Curser, etc.

Responsibilities

  • You will use Skype for day-to-day communication. In addition, we have weekly Zoom calls. Friday at 6pm EST, Sunday 6pm EDT, Wednesday at 7:30pm EDT and Thursday at 7:30pm EDT  (Note; these times may be changed)

What you'll learn and receive

  • The industry is quickly transforming to developers using AI to generate code
  • In order to get a job after graduation this skill will be highly valuable
  • If your internship with us is successful - we write GREAT reference letters if you should want one
  • We are able to grant CPT for international students over the summer
  • We are also able to grant 12 month OPT for students that have just graduated
