Staff Services Analyst

As a member of the Southern Facilities Unit (SFU), under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) is responsible for, but not limited to, facility management; space planning; office furniture and modular installation and reconfigurations; assist with warehouse coordination and maintenance; asset management; inventory control; assist with mail operations; and assisting with various tracking systems while working with control agencies (e.g., Department of General Services (DGS)).
 

This work is important, time sensitive and requires both strong written and verbal communication skills. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate a positive attitude and commitment to providing quality service that is accurate, timely, and exceeds customer expectations. The incumbent will support and promote a positive work environment and productive relationships with all staff and the public in an ethical and professional manner. The incumbent is expected to secure confidential information from unauthorized disclosure.
 
Reporting location is Riverside County.

Duties require participation in the DMV Pull Notice Program.

Travel may be required.

Working Conditions

 

This position may be eligible for hybrid in-office work and in-state telework. The amount of telework is at the agency's discretion and is based on the California Air Resource Boards' (CARB) current telework policy. While the CARB may support telework, some in-person attendance is also required. 

The positions at the CARB may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California, subject to the candidate meeting telework eligibility criteria outlined in the CalEPA telework policy and/or future program need. Employees not residing in California are not eligible for telework. Regardless of hybrid telework eligibility, all employees may be required to report to the position’s designated headquarters location at their own expense.

  • Position located in a high-rise building.
  • Requires being stationary, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
  • Standard office environment (artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.)  
  • Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.

Must be able to move/transport equipment weighing up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Position may require use of personal protective equipment such as safety boots, high visibility vest, hard hat, and/or other protective equipment gear.

Operates heavy motorized vehicles.

Travel may be required.

Additional working conditions:

This position is considered Full-Time / In-Person; however, with an opportunity to partially Telework after Probationary period has been completed.
