Construction Materials Sales Intern
Title of Position: Sales Intern- Summer 2025
Location: Fairless Hills, PA
Through a combination of growth and acquisitions, Silvi Materials have together become one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of concrete products in the Northeast, US. Today, the Silvi Materials manufacture concrete at multiple locations and supplies those plants with materials from Silvi owned mining operations and deep-water port facility.
As a Silvi Materials Sales Intern, you will have the opportunity to tap into the world of concrete/construction materials. You will report to our experienced Sales Director during your 10–12-week experience.
So, what does a Sales Intern do?
- Work within the field, typically client construction sites.
- On site manager during concrete placements.
- 80% field work, 20% office work.
- Assist and support the sales manager and sales team in day-to-day activities, contributing to the overall sales process.
- Observe and learn about sales strategies, techniques, and customer interactions.
- Take on specific tasks assigned by the sales team, such as preparing presentations, conducting market research, or organizing sales data.
- Proactively ask questions and take notes to understand the full scope of sales operations.
- Collaborate with other departments, including Marketing, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions regarding sales strategies, goals, and customer relations.
- Gain hands-on experience by interacting with clients, managing leads, and supporting the sales pipeline.
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Concrete Industry Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently, showing a proactive approach to tasks.
- A collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to learn about sales strategies, tools, and customer engagement techniques.
