Position Qualifications

Education:  

Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, communications, education, public relations, public administration, or a related field  

 

Experience:  

Three (3) years of professional training experience  

 

OR  

 

Combined education and experience qualifications:  

Postgraduate degrees or professional level-related experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis. 

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:  

Knowledge of: 

Publications processes  

Communications principles, methods, and materials  

Research methods and techniques  

Presentation methods and techniques  

Audio-visual media concepts 

Excellent writing skills 

 

Skill in: 

Speaking clearly, concisely, and in an organized manner  

Problem-solving    

 

Ability to: 

Create courseware requirements design documents 

Relate well with both business and technical staff 

Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing 

Organize work and set priorities  

Assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands and execute on deliverables  

Identify and develop short and long-range training plans/strategies 

Work under pressure and meet critical deadlines

$65,000- $73,250 - $81,500 - $98,000

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

The most qualified candidate will have experience using of videography and photography to transform clips into training materials (CBT, computer-based training materials) for Judicial Branch employees 

 

Essential Job Tasks 

(This is not an all-inclusive list of all job duties that may be required; employees will be required to perform other related duties as assigned.) 

Develop and design interactive and engaging online courses and curriculum.  

Conduct research and collaborate with subject experts to develop course content.  

Design learning content, materials, brochures, PowerPoints, job aids, logos, and handouts.  

Creatively design learning activities that engage learners while reinforcing learning. 

Analyze, update, and refine existing online content. 

Write scripts for video, audio, and close captioning for CBTs. 

Review and proofread new course content and provide feedback. 

Manage projects from conception through completion. 

Design graphics for course content. 

Implement feedback from program reviews. 

Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.  

Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course. 

Maintain project documentation and course folders. 

Troubleshoot technical problems via reported user issues.

Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County participates in the State Retirement systems ASRS or PSPRS. As such, mandatory membership for all full-time employees includes payroll deducted contributions consistent with each retirement system's requirements. The current contribution rate for ASRS is 12.27% and the current contribution rate for PSPRS is 5.84% and up for the defined contribution plan and 8.82% for the defined benefit plan. Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County.  This position may be reassigned to other locations.  Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
