Are you passionate about social work and making a difference in people’s lives? The Illinois Department of Human Services is seeking a dedicated Social Worker IV to join our team at the Alton Mental Health Center. This is your chance to provide advanced social work services to individuals with complex emotional and psycho-social disorders in a civil unit.

💼 What You’ll Do:
• Perform professional social work services, including advanced application of social work principles, techniques, and evaluations.
• Work with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Advocate for patients and ensure their treatment needs are met.
• Serve as a resource for non-professional direct care staff.
• Perform as a program manager and recommend treatment courses for patients.

📚 What We’re Looking For:
• Master’s degree in Social Work + 3+ years of supervised post-master’s clinical social work practice.
• Possession of a Clinical Social Worker’s license.
• Strong skills in conducting interviews and applying clinical diagnoses.
• Compassion and a passion for supporting those with mental health challenges.
