Payment Operations Associate

We are currently looking for a part-time non-exempt Payment Operations Associate to join our team and work an average of 36-40 weekly hours!  In this role, you will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks that support member service and SELCO operations.

This position will work onsite at the Corporate Headquarters location in Springfield, Oregon.  The Payment Operations Associate is only eligible for in office/branch work arrangements. The successful candidate will need to be available to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm.

COMPENSATION

Base Salary: The full salary range for the Payment Operations Associate position is $20.30 to $30.15 per hour, with new hires generally starting between $23.20 to 25.25 per hour, based on relevant knowledge, skills, education, and experience. 

Incentives: This position is eligible for monthly incentives of $25.00, per qualifying incident.

Annual Incentive: In addition, all SELCO team members receive an annual incentive based on how well SELCO meets the prior year’s strategic business goals. This incentive is calculated using the team member’s prior year eligible earnings and ranges from 0%-12% (with the average payout over the last five years being 11.07%).

POSITION DETAILS

Essential Functions include (please see the position description for a comprehensive list):

  • Participate in daily processing tasks for various payment channels including exception item processing, file transmission, and transaction processing.
  • Assist internal and external members with inquiries about account transactions, errors, corrections, and research requests. Communicate corrections clearly and accurately. Take action to resolve system errors that are discovered.
  • Support daily balancing activity for various payment channels which includes, posting to GLs, error correction and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist with processing member transactions received through mail and electronic payment channels with a high level of speed and accuracy. Process transaction adjustments and communicate changes to members.

  • Sophisticated computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; and
  • At least one (1) year of experience in customer service or equivalent related experience; and
  • At least six (6) months of financial institution or finance-related experience; and 
  • Must be bondable.
