Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and empathetic Counseling Intern to join our team. This internship is designed for graduate students pursuing a master's degree in counseling. Interns will gain hands-on experience working with clients under the supervision of licensed professionals while developing essential counseling skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and/or group counseling under supervision.
- Facilitate support group and teen day camp sessions under supervision
- Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Participate in case consultations, training, and supervision meetings.
- Assist with community outreach, workshops, or educational programming as needed.
- Assist with website and social media content as needed.
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality guidelines in accordance with professional and legal requirements.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a master’s program in counseling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work with diverse populations in a nonjudgmental manner.
- Willingness to receive feedback and engage in self-reflection.
- Previous experience in mental health settings is a plus but not required.
