Nursing Fellowship - Behavioral Health Inpatient Adult
Hartford HealthCare is actively hiring qualified Behavioral Health Nursing Students expected to graduate Winter of 2025 or Spring of 2026 for the Nursing Fellowship Program beginning June 2, 2025. The Nursing Fellowship Program is a full-time (36-40 hours per week) 8-week paid position for nursing students to gain practical experience through immersion in a nursing specialty. Nursing Fellows will gain an understanding of the role of the Registered Nurse at Hartford HealthCare via classroom, clinical, and professional development opportunities.
St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Center in Westport is a 76-bed inpatient psychiatric facility specializing in care for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and dual diagnosis substance use disorders. St. Vincent’s Medical Center is the first hospital in Fairfield County to be integrated into the Hartford HealthCare network, and part of one of the largest providers of mental health services at several locations in Connecticut.
Qualifications
Eligibility Requirements:
- Current BSN, ASN, or Accelerated nursing student with a projected graduation of Winter 2025 or Spring 2026.
- Preferred GPA of 3.2 or better and in good standing at school.
- Unofficial transcripts.
- Current resume highlighting any clinical experience or related job history, especially in behavioral health settings.
- One (1) letter of recommendation from a nursing school faculty member.
