We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Remote Clinical Care Coordinator Interns with a Medical Assistant (MA) certification to assist our nursing team in delivering high-quality patient care. This internship provides hands-on experience in a fast-growing healthcare technology environment.

Internship Overview:

• First 3 months: Unpaid training and experience-building period.
• Last 3 months: Possible paid internship, based on performance evaluation.
• Applicants holding a Medical Assistant (MA) certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) may be eligible for a $3,000 yearly stipend.

Responsibilities:

• Make outbound and receive inbound calls to follow up with patients regarding their care, answer inquiries, and provide information about Med-Kick’s patient monitoring and chronic care management services.
• Assist nurses and the healthcare team by documenting patient concerns and relaying information for follow-ups.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, update records, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Educate patients on Med-Kick services, eligibility, and healthcare programs under supervision.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality in all communications.
• Perform administrative support tasks, such as data entry, reporting, and call documentation.
• Assist with research and projects aimed at improving patient engagement and care coordination.
• Shadow nurses and other healthcare professionals to gain insight into telehealth workflows.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Medical Assistant (MA) certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA).
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a healthcare-related program (Medical Assisting, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, etc.).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to interact professionally and empathetically with patients.
• Comfortable with technology, CRM systems, and telehealth platforms.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

• 6-month internship program (first 3 months unpaid, last 3 months possible paid internship based on performance evaluation).
