Salary: The budgeted salary range for the position is $221,000 to $240,000.  We strive to provide a competitive salary, considering factors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints. The final salary offer will be determined through a thorough assessment of these elements.

Position Summary: 

The Division of Hematology/Oncology, Sickle Cell Center in the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine with a strong interest in Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) clinical research. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

The position includes responsibility for inpatient and outpatient care for individuals with SCD as well as research and teaching activities. The inpatient team is staffed by a resident and interns offering excellent teaching opportunities.  There are also opportunities for excellent mentoring and/or collaboration with basic science, translational and clinical trial SCD experts.

Qualifications:

MD or DO

Board Certification in Internal Medicine

Additional Board Certification in Hematology desirable but not required
