DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner, you will provide medical treatment and a full range of health services to patients. You will evaluate patients, manage physical health problems, coordinate psychiatric care, and monitor health plans for clinical effectiveness. You will also, order and interpret laboratory tests, use prescriptive authority to treat symptoms, and consult with physicians about disorders and possible adverse treatment effects. This role requires the ability to maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and families to identify health history, developmental history, and environmental factors while using sound knowledge of medicine, psychiatric diagnoses, and treatments to promote positive clinical outcomes. In addition you will, make daily unit rounds, facilitate patient transfers within and between health care settings, and respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, including on-call responsibilities are possible. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Overtime as needed

- New hires may be eligible for a $1,000.00 Retention Incentive Payment, provided you meet all criteria outlined in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
- You must possess a valid certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Condition Of Employment:
- You must possess a valid CRNP certification in an an Adult Care specialty area or Family Care specialty area as issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
Post Employment Requirement:
- This position requires you to obtain and maintain valid CRNP Prescriptive Authority Approval to prescribe and dispense drugs as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
