Medical Assistant

We are seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking, bi/multi-lingual medical assistants to join our team at our Fort Lee, New Jersey location. We are a high-volume dermatology practice, serving diverse communities in Flushing, Jackson Heights, Glen Oaks, and the Bronx, New York and Fort Lee, New Jersey

The ideal candidate will provide the highest quality customer service to patients, adhere to practice protocols and processes, and effectively manage the volume of work without compromising quality.

Responsibilities include:

- Triaging and collecting patient's histories, setting up and cleaning examination and operating rooms, restocking and ordering supplies, and charting and documentation.

- Assisting providers with procedures and surgeries, phlebotomy, prescriptions, maintaining patient flow.

- Accompanying providers into exam rooms and being attentive to the patient and provider interactions.

- Assisting patients with laser and phototherapy treatments.

- Communication with patients, pharmacies, and insurance companies to assist with any questions, prescription inquiries, and prior authorizations.

- Providing quality care to patients and excellent support to providers

Requirements

• Eighteen month to two year commitment preferred
• Bilingual/Multilingual Korean and English needed
• Medical Assistance or other healthcare experience a plus, but not necessary--we will provide training
• Must have Impeccable verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Must be eager to learn
• Must be able to be on your feet for long hours

Time Commitment

Full-time positions available; must be able to work at least one Saturday. We are open 6 days a week (8-6 on weekdays, 9-1 on Saturdays). MAs work anywhere from 34-40 hours per week. We can be flexible with your schedule.
